A few months back I sent in a few poems to the Boston Literary Magazine and I got back an acceptance letter and an invitation to submit a manuscript to their chapbook series. I sent in my manuscript and it was accepted. Well the book was just released today and I am very excited about the final product!
Here are some early reviews:
“Casual brilliance packed with irony” - poet Amy Corbin
Salvatore Buttaci, author of Boy on a Swing, said, “Not only do Quinn's poetic gems sparkle on the outside, you can peel them open and find below the surface a deeper brilliance with which readers can see their own reflections.”
For Alexis Czenca Belluzi (Practicing Distance) - “Quinn has crafted short, outwardly simple poems that manage to push the boundaries of metaphor and irony through subtle humor. The collection is brilliantly paradoxical. And I wish I knew how he pulled it off.”
North Carolina Poet Laureate Kathryn Stripling Byer calls Quinn “...accessible, often witty, with a deft playfulness and often poignant, with a lack of pretense in a day when so many poets try to show how clever they are.”
