  Sometimes it is long
« on: December 05, 2009, 09:05:25 PM » by Tom Riordan
Sometimes it is long
www.poetrycircle.com/index.php/topic,15320.
Sometimes it is short
www.poetrycircle.com/index.php/topic,15031.
Usually no one will touch it.
My first book of poetry
was not a semifinalist
for the Hopper Book Award
and was not published
by Burning Bush Press
in 2009. I do not have
a Pushcart Nomination
for one of my poems.
I was not a featured poet
in an anthology of seven
poets with seven poems.
Some of my poems were
not recently published in
Brick, Hunger Mountain,
Bomb, Trout, Drunken Boat,
Abalone Moon, Crannog,
Haggard and Halloo,
The Baton Rouge Review,
Potchefstroom Quarterly,
The Journal of The Dew,
and Shine. If they were,
you may have me confused
with Tom O'Raredan

Love love the title.

Haven't checked all the links yet, but just had to tell you, this is awesome.
with much more fun ahead, I'm sure.

A poet dares be just so clear and no clearer.... He unzips the veil from beauty, but does not remove it.  A poet utterly clear is a trifle glaring.  ~E.B. White

tom quirky and thought out! i can't claim to have ever created a website as a prop for a poem.  the humor is in all the right places, enjoy the not so serious nature. -lawrence

Glad you found your way and enjoyed, Lawrence. The website did feel good, inhabiting our medium here a little bit more. Mike Barrett's Challenge. Thanks, Tom

Tom, Briliant. The blog link back and forth push 'interactive' to the edge. I seldom laugh at what's written, but this actually made satire interesting. I am picking it.

Larry, thank you, glad it tickled you!
I've heard of and taken a peek at interactive fiction on web, and am thinking about it all. Webs of links are limitless, it seems, these days. On some sites, you click on any word and it takes you to a definition, or discussion of that word or topic--or pass cursor over it, and more text pops up. All that is the province of more sophisticated people than I will ever be, but it is fun to think about, tinker at the edge of. Tom
