enjoyed your poem tom!
esp. the line: 'dogs know you want a wag' - wonder if it cannot be: dog knows you want a wag?
a very valid point against love at first sight: What dog, child, lover loved
you at first sight, before you helped with food, words, touch
i think the poem should end at: hey look a flamingo.

Thanks for both ideas, Rashmi. I will go back and consider them. Tom

I enjoy reading Stevens but never quite got this poem.

It snowed last year too: I made a snowman and my brother knocked it down and I knocked my brother down and then we had tea.
