Naughty, Nice and In Between...Feel Free To Help

My Heart's Passion...An Acrostic

Heart over flows with winning everything
Every moment searches for the perfect find
A blessed event I practice and call all mine
Running in track, adrenaline hits hard and fast
Timing is everything, the blood rushes past

Passion for the truest love deep from within
Answers my wild side of long forbidden sin
Sweat and tears poured into all I ever try to do
Sent from my heart's desire of achieving true
I often compete, part of all my school games
Oh, when I win I never complain, I make a gain
No crying when I lose, another turn and choose

Broken Song

we are brave people, one with the earth
entertwined with nature and all creatures
we speak the same tongue as one
the eagles, wolves, and buffalo is ours

the people's land was taken by the white man
over powered our bravery with sticks of fire
the calvary came and put us on reservations
stripped us of our possesions, mainly pride

I look back on times of giving in, no choice,
we could have starved or let our women
and our children die from our stubborness
we went but with spirit of broken song

they may have won the battle they sought
but never, never will they take our dignity,
we cried out our hearts to the Spirit Father
for all creatures, land and people to be one

3 Haikus Traditional 5-7-5

Mourned

November skies mourned
the colors were astounding
birth, December clouds

Fluff

Thanksgiving sky pale
snow rushing down in white fluffs
colors, white canvas

Faded

hues bleach as sun drops
November skies faded dim
morning brings golden
