don’t ever ask anything about life, alright?

Khe Iem, what a powerful poem! S3 is just killer, and S4 such a strong image to end with. I have the feeling I'm missing something when it comes to L2, though. It strikes me just as a distraction, something I already knew. Tom

This is a great line:
"if only speaking
would make us aware of what it is to be ignited"
Nice compact little piece - I would like the title better if it wasn't all capital though "Mute".....just a thought

Khe Iem, I just realized that the straw in S1 and paddy in S3 are closely linked if the straw is rice straw, which didn't occur to me at first, ignorant of rice farming as many of us are in U.S. If desired, and if I'm not missing something else about your L2, you could make that link more explicit with an opening like
rice straw
scarecrow
arms outstretched
