I believe that Milner meant that you inspired a poem that he just posted...

wondered about adding "him" to the below line

"and you would kill him again."

but it is a small thing - the poem is excellent and the ending thought profound - Michelle

on the St/ John's River inWashington County
Maine. He stooped ten feet in front of me
tyalons ready to pluck.

so quickly that only an osprey could have been that swift.

your pen here deftly sketches the mciro, the macro and primordial.

and nice to read that Maine was so expansive for you
