PoetryCircle now on iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, or Nokia.
« on: May 31, 2010, 09:34:44 AM » by Jay Dougherty
Smartphones these days are essentially miniature computers, and a growing number of apps enable smartphone users to take the traditional web with them. Now, if you have a smartphone, you can take PoetryCircle with you, too.

PoetryCircle has joined the Tapatalk network, which allows smartphone users easy and attractive access to the world of online communities. What better way to spend some time in your favorite coffee shop than keeping up with the great poetry of the PoetryCircle group!

To access PoetryCircle from your smartphone, you'll need Tapatalk, a mobile app available for iPhone, Blackberry, Android, and Nokia. Tapatalk supports all the usual functions of our community, including reading, creating topics, and replying to topics. You can find out more about Tapatalk here:

http://www.tapatalk.com/

Tapatalk costs 2.99 dollars. There's a free version as well, but with it you will not be able to reply to posts. Let us know how it works. On my BlackBerry, the site comes in fine, if in text that's a tad small for my eyes. On iPhone I have heard it looks better.

Here are some screen shots of the typical Tapatalk presentation:

A little late to respond, but new to forum. I use the iPhone Tapatalk 90% of the time. It's very good but occasionally omits characters such as apostrophes and messes with some formatting. This said, updates are quick and the interface intuitive.
