  0's and 1's
« on: August 31, 2010, 08:03:52 PM » by John Smith
If only there were a way,
to make these words cry,
 to choke them up,
 so they could feel
what it’s like to be alive,

 They lay instead
 lines on a page,
 0’s and 1’s unseen

to enliven, or depress
 without concern
 for how they work.

Yes I can relate to this.  I often feel this way.   Well done.

john for me this has a real industrial texture to it, electrical and has me depressed for the stereotypical nerd who may be left staring at the screen, wanting for what he will never have.  enjoyed-lawrence
