Great poem.
Somewhere
there is a place
where there is
no past or future
our love over years
is one long day

You have succeeded, Lynn, to keep in this beautiful sad poem the balance between personal emotions and the technical requirements of poetry, and I think this make it special. There is an infusion here with very strong feelings, as anyone can see and feel, with something that though is composed by two distinctive elements, life and art, it is in fact one and the same: your soul.

My thanks, again, to each reader for thoughts and comments.  Huge suprise to find it featured on the front page!  I did read this poem in Atlanta to a small audience at Bound to be Read bookstore -- [yes, I pictured a friendly face in the audience and managed my way through, lavonne -- so sorry I missed catching up with you at the AWP -- maybe next time?]

Sincere thanks to all.

This is probably my favorite poem of Lynn's. Glad it was brought forward again.

After reading some of your more current poems, I was prompted to find this once again. I have read it many times since your initial post, and it packs the same punch with each read.
