I had trouble understanding it.  I did not know where it was set.  "Killing grounds" and "incense" and the reference to the Buddha made me think it was in war-torn VietNam, but I was not sure.  I reread it twice but still could not make out its point (I don't mean that a poem must have a "point" but in this case a clear picture or image(s) was not gotten by me, and the title did not help.  I feel frustrated.  I did not "cheat" and read the other comments, for I think a poem must stand on its own feet.  But I will now read them and maybe I will see what I missed, and realize that part of the frustration is my "fault."  Best wishes.
